Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Artifex Intelligence, Inc. ("Artifex," "we") handles personal information we collect from visitors to artifexhq.ai and from representatives of our business customers. For California residents, this policy also serves as our notice under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA").

Business-to-business scope. Artifex provides services to businesses, not to consumers. When our business customers submit data to our platform that contains personal information about their employees, subcontractors, clients, or others ("Customer Data"), Artifex processes that data as a service provider under our customers' direction. Customer Data is governed by the agreement with that customer, including the Data Processing Addendum, not this policy. Individuals with questions about Customer Data should contact the relevant Artifex customer.

1. Information We Collect

We collect:

• Information you provide — name, business email, business phone, job title, company, communications content (emails, support tickets, call recordings), account credentials, and billing information;
• Information collected automatically — IP address, browser and device information, usage data, approximate location (from IP), and data from cookies and similar technologies;
• Information from third parties — from service providers, sales-intelligence platforms, publicly available sources, and our business customers in connection with our services.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (as defined under CCPA), information from children under 18, or consumer personal information outside a business context.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to: provide and secure our services; respond to inquiries and provide support; send marketing communications (subject to opt-out); improve and develop our services (including by creating aggregated or de-identified data used to train and fine-tune AI models); comply with law; and in connection with corporate transactions.

3. How We Share Information

We share personal information with:

• service providers and contractors (including cloud hosting, AI model providers, analytics, email and CRM tools, payment processors, and professional advisors), under contracts limiting their use;
• our affiliates, and counterparties and advisors in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets;
• authorities or others as required by law or to enforce our rights;
• others with your consent.

No sale. We do not sell personal information for money. Some sharing with advertising partners or analytics providers may be considered "sharing" under CCPA; to opt out, email us or send a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser.

4. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes collected and as required by law (generally up to 7 years for account, transaction, and communication records). Aggregated and de-identified data may be retained indefinitely.

5. Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect personal information. No security is perfect; you transmit information to us at your own risk. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.

6. California Privacy Rights

California residents have the right to know, access, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, email privacy@artifexhq.ai. We will verify identity before processing most requests. We do not discriminate against consumers for exercising these rights. Most personal information we handle is collected in a business-to-business context, which is exempt from some rights under California law; we will assess each request accordingly. Authorized agents may submit requests with proper authorization.

7. Other State Rights

Residents of other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights. Contact privacy@artifexhq.ai to exercise them.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for site operation, analytics, preferences, and marketing. Browser settings let you control cookies; disabling them may affect functionality. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as opt-out requests where required by law.

9. International Users

We process personal information in the United States. If you access our services from outside the U.S., you consent to transfer of your information to the U.S.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy by posting a revised version here. Material changes will be noted with the updated effective date.
