Without Artifex's prior written consent, Customer shall not submit to the Services: (a) payment card data (PCI-DSS); (b) protected health information (HIPAA); (c) export-controlled information (ITAR/EAR); (d) classified government information; (e) Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, passport numbers, or biometric identifiers; or (f) any information Customer does not have a lawful basis to process.
3. AI-Specific Rules
The Services are decision-support tools, not decision-makers. Customer shall not use AI-generated output as the sole basis for: safety-critical decisions on job sites; legally binding certifications by licensed professionals; employment decisions (hiring, firing, discipline); or any other high-stakes decision without qualified human review. Customer shall not represent AI output as coming from a licensed professional or hold it out as professional advice.
4. Customer Responsibility for Third Parties
Customer is responsible for providing any notices and obtaining any consents required from individuals whose information Customer submits to the Services (including employees, subcontractors, clients, and people photographed on job sites). Customer's use of the Services must comply with all applicable privacy, labor, and anti-discrimination laws.
5. Enforcement
Artifex may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate Customer's access immediately and without prior notice for any actual or suspected violation of this AUP. Termination for AUP violation forfeits any prepaid fees. Customer will reimburse Artifex's reasonable costs of investigating and remediating violations, including attorneys' fees. These remedies are cumulative with Artifex's other rights.
6. Reporting
Report suspected violations to support@artifexhq.ai.
7. Updates
Artifex may update this AUP by posting a revised version. Changes take effect 30 days after posting or at Customer's next renewal, whichever is later.
